Today is the 199th anniversary of the birth of England’s celebrated Queen Victoria, who reigned over the British Empire from 1837 to 1901. This was an official holiday for many years in the United Kingdom, though it’s been superseded by Commonwealth Day, which is celebrated in March. It’s still a holiday in Canada, though like Martin Luther King’s birthday in America, they’ve moved it to Monday. May 24th, however, seems like the perfect day for steampunks everywhere to celebrate. Arlys and I wish you a very Happy Victoria Day! And speaking of steampunk, watch this space for information on the upcoming release of our third Ione D novel, Professor Ione D and the Steam-Powered Minotaur, slated for late this year.
